When using the Web version of PillowSkin on your mobile phone, you can have a more “app-like” experience by saving the webapp page to your Home screen. This would remove the browser omnibox that is usually at the top of your screen, resulting in a full-screen experience.
The steps that you need to take differs for each mobile browser.
Safari is a two-step process. First, you will need to click the page menu button (box with arrow pointing upwards). This will show the options available to you for this web page.
Then, you will need to tap on the “Save to Homescreen” option. It will then prompt you to confirm.
Chrome has a similar process to Safari. You will need to open up the options menu by tapping on the three dots at the top right of the screen. Then, select the “Add to Homescreen” option.
For Firefox mobile, you will need to click on the house icon. It will then prompt you to confirm that you want to save it to your home screen.
This trick will help to give quick access to the application from your homescreen. As this is not a native app installed on your phone, you will still need to be connected to the internet in order to interact with the PillowSkin app.
At least you can get rid of the annoying search bar when you're tapping around in the app 😉!
